Vystrčil considers the visit as highly fruitful in that it had built trust between the two countries and a foundation for further cooperation. Pavel Diviš added that Czech entrepreneurs had attended about 280 meetings with their Taiwanese counterparts. According to Pavel Fischer, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, the Czech Republic and Taiwan have agreed to strengthen cooperation in green innovation and defense industries.
Vystrčil evaluates the trip as a statement to the world that the Czech Republic has straightened its back and it is a sovereign state. He praised the alliance of these two democracies, “the room for building trust and willingness to cooperate is immense. Now the responsibility falls onto our shoulders to utilize the potential both at the business and at the executive level.”
The President of the Czech Senate, Miloš Vystrčil, said the Czech delegation had largely achieved its goals of securing economic and business partnerships, educational exchanges, and solidarity with a fellow democracy. According to the Taiwanese Foreign Minister Wu, the multi-level, multi-channel cooperation proves that the countries' bilateral relations had matured into a comprehensive partnership.
Taiwan and the Czech Republic concluded three Memoranda of Understanding, underscoring the commitment of both sides to deepen cooperation post-pandemic.
