Amid the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, Taiwanese manufacturer EXCELSIOR BIO-SYSTEM INCORPORATION made a generous donation of 5,000 rapid tests to the Senate of the Czech Republic.

This comes almost 4 months after the Czech delegation led by Miloš Vystrčil landed in Taiwan. These tests, distributed under the name ALERT_SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antibody Test can rapidly detect antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 virus in human serum or plasma. Compared with the conventional assay for antibody detection like Western Blot or, these tests determine the presence of the antibodies in the sample within only 10 minutes.
